Thread: Weird Problem From Past 5 Days... Plz Help

Hi,

i am facing a weird problem from past 5 days...

if the modem is connected to my laptop... then link light keeps on blinking...

if i disconnect my laptop from the modem... then after a few moments the link light becomes stable...
now if i reconnect my laptop with the modem the link remains stable and i can connect and browse the net without problem...

seems like if my laptop is connected to the modem the link light does not become stable... i am confused.

Plz help... i am not being able to point out the problem...

modem: nokia siemens c2110

Check settings:
BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU

Intermittent connection possible. If only one laptop is used ,keep rj45 connected always.

In computer START RUn type cmd Ok

Please delete all after lan. starting with Wireless lan.
No useful data. only scrolling the page needlessly.
You are using Dialer Mode: Uncheck "bridged"
Select PPPoE in WAN page and enter userid/pw in modem page.
Save Reboot.
Confirm internet connection is made automatically.
Do not click Dialer icon.
If no connection check diagnose again. ( Network LAN if Windows 7)

PPPoE mode does not work for me...

I changed from bridged to pppoe mode. It does not work. Link keeps on blinking... does not become stable.

I changed it back to bridged mode and the link stabilises after sometime ( above mentioned problem still present ).

Please await response from other users/members.
I dislike scrolling the page seeing useless data.
