Well, we all are aware of the fact that how far behind our country is from the other countries in the IT sector.
Btw, What made you think that it's being compared to other countries' ISPs? I mean, how can you even think of it, hun?
Really it doesn't make any sense comparing the former with latter.Anyways, We all are here for discussing about the ISPs in our country.Mind you it's an "Indian" forum. So, no question of involving any other countries ISPs.

I was just saying..... Once I read it on the newspaper that we will have 100mbps after 20 years... It sounded too good to be true.

It dose not mater what NIB are you on, it's mater what plan are you on. You are in UL 750 not in ULD 750. Your plan is not upgraded to 1Mbps, the speed is upgraded for the ULD plan not for the UL paln, that is why only users of ULD plan getting upgraded speed, even the users of 117 series of IP, having UL 750 are not getting 1Mbps download speed. ULD stands for Unlimited with differential speed, remember it's has limits and that is why it known as differential speed.

Thank you very much! That answers my questions...I will wait till the end of the month and shift to UL1700.Sounds like the best plan for my usage.

Speed test results are not necessarily correct all the time - even from reputed channels. For example, my own speed test:

One should carry out repeated tests with different servers in different parts of the world. Then take the average. Here are other results:

The most correct way of checking speed is by downloading a file from the likes of Microsoft, Oracle, etc. using a download manager.

Yes you are right my dear. We are nothing compared to them. Internet is **** in India. We have to compromise in both speed and prices.

Alright lets face it Broadband in India sucks, the speeds are terrible and the plans too sucks and the worst of all we got our a**** kicked out of servers while playing Games due to high Pings. If BSNL wants to increase their sales they should upgrade bandwidth permanently.

Note:- this is my personal opinion no offense to anyone

You are not in ULD plan you are in UL plan, Your plan is not upgraded to 1Mbps, the speed is upgraded for the ULD plan not for the UL paln.

My opinion --- Upgraded to ULD 750 is not worthy, because after 6GB you will revise back to 512Kbps again, 6GB is nothing, not a big space.

There was no ULD 750 earlier. It was UL750 or UL 750 Combo only. It became ULD only after this month's speed change. And this should happen automatically I believe. So now there is no more UL750 or UL750 Combo..its ULD750 and ULD750Combo now..

Me and my friend both are in unlimited 750 rupees plan.So the plan should be upgraded automatically. Why i am not getting increased speed where we both are paying same amount every month. There is no ULD plan before. If the plan upgrade only for ULD plan then why there is no plan like UL plan in braodband tariff?I heard news that BSNL facing several issues regarding speed upgrade.when contacted the telephone exchange theya re saying same. Why BSNL not taken initiative to give proper broadband service?it's purely because there are no other providers in india who can compete with BSNL.i dont know why the ISP using FUP in broadband then what's use of upgrading speed?.
