Default BSNL broadband double broadband speed in February

Someone please update me on BSNL plans.

I am on BSNL UL750 plus (512 kbps UL without any FUP) and since today i am getting 1 mbps speed.

Has BSNL doubled the speed at same cost and no FUP for this plan?

Yes something did change but I dont see your plan in the list : BSNL to double broadband speed in February, IBN Live News

May be they missed out on some or may be some trigger happy Bsnl employee sweeped the whole room with the same broom
Give them a quick call I would say and let us all know as well

I hope that they have not implemented any kind of crap FUP for this plan. I am even ready to pay 1K for 1 mbps UL without any FUP.

Yes, BSNL has changed speed of some plans but not in whole country. Some plans will get double speed with FUP and some plans will get same speed with extended FUP. In your case you will get 1 Mbps up to 6 GB and then 512 Kbps unlimited. UL750 is changed for whole country.

see the below link, 750 got upgraded to 1 mbps with FUP
"1 Mbps upto 6 GB, 512 Kbps beyond 6 GB"

    http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/new_BB...only_unlim.htm

I would say this FUP cap is not bad as previously it used to provide through out 512kbps

I am on UL750 and the 6 GB cap sucks......BSNL is giving tasty chicken to eat and snatching it before satisfaction......after 6 GB, this 512 kbps will look dull MORONS!

I am getting double speed too i am in gujarat and same 750 plan.
what i am thinking is if we get a way to install tunneling or mostly VPN might work too then we will be on double speed through out.
    this is an opportunity guys.!!

How is that supposed to get around the FUP limit?

As far as I know a VPN is merely an intermediary node (used mostly for security purposes) between the source & destination & instead of requesting the data from the destination node you send the request via VPN, but ultimately that data will come to your node. That mean there will be a data transfer by your ISP to your system via your internet connection.

Or I might be completely missing your point here, I apologize for that?

Broadband is **** in India. BSNL was the last hope. Nothing new in this. I have used 6 GB in less than 2 days. We are 10-15 years behind the developed countries. Hope some better plans in the future or have to switch to other service providers....

We cannot even complain or give feedback on its website. Broadband condition is very poor in India. Sab chor hain saale. Shame on these people. I wrote to Kapil Sibal about the conditon of broadband. We should boycott brandband connections for sometime. Jab jaake sudhrenge saale.
