    What is U/N broadband ?

Good enough. I think no other method possible.Presume only one laptop in use.
Your modem/router is set for PPPoE/ mode with your userid/PW stored in the wan page.
    Step 1:
Go to "Firmware" menu page and SAVE/backup current settings to a ROM file in your hard disk.
    ( for future use ).

My post was for finding out, how much you know about changing
    settings in the modem/router.
If you had saved/Back up the present working settings: confirm.

In each post you should give additional information/ response, to member's post/s
Not necessary I should tell you straightaway "It is not possible !"
Some other member after reading the discussion may/can suggest a solution.

    Para two:
The reason for your requirement also not spelled out
I can make a guess : The connection is shared by others!!

    I like to ensure,
that you don't loose existing connection by /trying changes. randomly.
    in the modem.
