    Default using external modem with MTNL modems

    hey der!
    i have a MTNL modem(450TC1)
    i would like to know if i cain use routers like linksys and belkin along with or replacing my present modem and how to configure it!!
    my present modem (450TC1) dosent satisfy my needs for personal home networking at home.....
    please let me know what to do
    suggestions are welcome
    any help appreciated......

    Confirm your ISP for broadband connection is BSNL.
    Confirm the Firmware version of MTNL version of 450TCI and
    check in Wireless page WDS mode is available.

    Presume reason to use another wifi router is for increased wifi range . ( mention area/height-)
    Confirm the antenna is detachable.

    For ref: wireless repeater No connection between 450TCi(wds mode ) and other wifi router ( wds mode )
