    Default dns error

    hi,

    i am using bsnl broadband.
since the last few days i am not able to surf the net and get the message "the page cannot be displayed". Simultaneously, in the status bar, for a short while, i get th e message : res://ieframe/dnserror.htm...
I have seen the settings of the modem in the modem page and everything seems to be all right; dtill when i try to open any website it does not work.

    someone please help!
if u need any other info telll me.

PS - In the LAN properties, i have given the default DNS address as 61.1.96.71.

also, can someone tell me the use of the reset button in my modem? (it is a small button inside the cover of th e modem which needs to be pressed by a pin) my modem type is UT300R2U

    Default

Change ur settings to "Obtain DNS server automatically"

Reset button when pressed would restore ur modem to factory settings[pretty obvious] .. Its needed in case u or someone else messes with the router settings !!
