Thread: Vonics VOIP with BSNL BB

HI all,

I have two queries :

1] I have a vonics adapter through which I want to make long distance calls to US. The adapter gets connected and I get the dial tone but it disconnects within a minute.
Has anybody experienced such behavior while using any VOIP package ??
What could be the reason for such behavior ??
(My modem is connecting through pppoe mode as described below)


2] Is there some issue with sharing pppoe connection using Dlink GLB 502T ?
My device is already patched (as I can use the pppoe connection with sharing disabled, which leaves me with the working 'USB ONLY' connection )


Right now due to sharing disabled, I have to startup the PC and then (using windows ICS) share this connection with the VOIP adapter from my PC LAN card .... !

If I could enable sharing then I could directly connect the adapter to the router and I wont have to startup the pc everytime.

Hey folks,

Sorry for the trouble,
I guess I was a bit impatient and confused as well.

In pppoe mode, USB + LAN ports were working (I was confused between sharing PC's and the two ports at the back of the router :P )

And for VONICS , it takes around 5 minutes frequent disconnections before finally it stabilizes.

Now my connection is working pefectly stable with great sound quality (using pppoe mode and direct connection to router so no question of starting the PC everytime)

Just thought of adding this in case somebody else too faces the same problem like me .
