Home 250 should be more than sufficient.

try mtnl 250 2mbps package...it provides 400mb of space...it might be just sufficient for video conference...however if u intend to do everyday then that wont be sufficient

Just like others said the 250 package from BSNL is more than sufficient for you. It is the cheapest package available here. After all the rentals it comes around Rs. 500 per month for this package.

But if you are looking at doing web chatting for hours together then I think a 256kbps unlimited connection would be most suitable so you wont need to worry about running huge bills for extra usage above the allocated monthly limit.

prob is 256k speed is ok for audio chatting...for video from my personal experience 256k is a bit low....image changes once in 15 sec or so...so theres no fun in video conferencing then...

Well i would say you to go with BSNL 250 or 500 package as with it you would get 2 mbps line which i think would be enough for video chats. Keep in mind they have limited bandwidth and if you are planing to do some long chats every day then you would have to pay extra for bandwidth.

i agree with the admin!!video chatting uses lot of bandwidth(upto 80MBs for a half hour video convo on a 2mbit connection) !!unlimited connection(ul900) is the best option!!hey 256kbps is pretty decent for video convo, he doesnt want blazing fast 30fps videos, the guy just wants to see and talk to his family the video will hav atleast 15fps thats 15 pictures in 1 second not 1 picture in 15 seconds!!

80MB for half an hour video chat?

1 hour video chat consumes around 20MB with yahoo messenger and 40MB with skype.

Well i think you should go with unlimited plans even if you would like to use your internet for limited time and that too for video chatting as small packages can suck your bandwith line notthing else.
