Angry ►► how to set TP-LINK router to ADSL modem, BSNL, 2mbps speed, night unlimited.

    Hi guys,

Previously i was using only SIEMENS ADSL TYPE A modem which came free with BSNL BB 2mbps Night unlimited plan (2am-8am). Now recently i Bought TP LINK "TL-WR740N" wifi router for connecting my android mobile and tablet also.

I did all hardware setup as mentioned in manual. and then did software setup default where i selected PPPOE and entered username & pwd given by BSNL, also i've set WPA pwd. Now my problem is that, before this for connecting internet I've to click on dial-up shortcut only and i can connect/disconnect by just right clicking in system tray network icon.

But after setting all these wi-fi router, my internet is always ON mode in my PC. I've only 1.5GB data plan in day time and night unlimited. I've 3 queries:

    1) How to connect/disconnect internet manually in PC like dialup?
    2) Previously it was very fast loading any page of sites, but now its very slow. My BB plan is 2mbps, but i'm getting low speed. How to solve that?
    3) How to use BB Scheduler for night downloading ?

    1. No need. Check your BSNL usage, most circles has automatic shutdown and restart at 2 and 8.

    2. Must be related to some setting. Did you choose any minimum speed restriction option. Or may be your brother is using another device for torrents.

    3. If you still unsatisfied, google for pppoe night unlimited software. There are many which used to do round those days.

    1) I m asking how to connect like dialup mode in my pc. Right now its always ON mode, after starting my PC. Previously i was able to disconnect from system tray network icon.

    2) No i've not choose anything.

    3) BBscheduler is now working.

    Are you in ppoe mode?
Then only you can connect your mobile for browsing thro wi-fi.
Pppoe mode is better since it act as a firewall
If you got low speed in browsing, assign dns manually to lan
    like this
    Ip 192.168.1.5
    255.255.255.0
    gateway192.168.1.1
    dns-1. 156.157.70.1
    dns-2. 8.8.4.4
Also Try to assign the dns inside the modem also

Still you need dialer mode, then change your modem setup in bridge mode, restart the modem.
Then use the dialler in the pc to connect manually

where is that option BRIDGE MODE in wi-fi router ?
The Tp-Link Router provides six connection types for WAN to connect to the Internet,

    they are
    “Dynamic IP”,
    “Static IP” ,
    “PPPoE”,
    ”BigPondCable” ,
    “L2TP” and
    “PPTP” For configuring the WAN.

In Networx> Right click > settings

    1. I mentioned that because you won't be needing it at if there is auto reset at 2 and 8. If you bridge mode you can connect only one machine at a time.

Use dynamic IP and move further, you will get the option.
