Lightbulb High Speed Downloads :- )

well, let me tell you one technical fact in india if you want to download a lot lot
example you use torrents, download movies so on.

if you choose - unlimited plans (900) from BSNL you will get 30-35 KB/s i.e. (256-350 kbps). that is a bit slow.

if you go for plans like 250 or 500 with 2.5 or 5 GB data limitations then you are going to get speed upto 180KBps ( i.e. 1.5 Mb/s) thats really amazing.

so get cheap and get faster thats true in india.

remember one thing use your downloads session from 2am to 8am that will be free.

    any comments are welcome.
same is the case with any plans just don;t go for unlimited plans because you are going to get very limited bandwidth in that opt for night downloading that will do your work 10 times faster....

    ENJOY ..........

Well, i had heard that with the 2mbps 500 plan the night download from 2am to 8am which is supposed to be unlimited is actually limited to 3gb...
    Is that true??

Well, i forgot to mention the 3GB download limit is for one day actually...
i mean someone told me that u cannot download more than 3gb in a day...
but with the speed of 2mbps one can easily download upto 4-5gb within the unlimited period 2am-8am right??
so i hope this isn's true too... so that i can leave 3-4 torrents to download at night easily..

using BSNL home 250/500, u would get only 30-40KB/s when downloading without a download manager such as DAP.

Ive noticed i almost ALWAYS get 210 KB/s download rate when downloading a file using DAP

Ive got a maximum of 120 KB/s from torrents, it may be less coz of not too good seeds.

The main drop in this thing is that it would eat your bandwith really fast and would makr you pay more for your montly bill. If they would had offered the same service in some fixed monthly package i would have surely opted for that one.

use torrents..... why waste time with rapidshare . private trackers easily max out the bandwidth . its another thing that you need to upload what you download or get banned.

most of the time u dun need private trackers too .. just wait 4 a while and u`ll see public trackers handling the same torrent

u can easily get 90-95GB a month from night unlimited itself using torrents!!&y pay for rapid share when u can get the same stuff or better from torrents?

by the way to get max speeds from torrents u hav to enable upload/download speed limits or enable qos in your router!!

    try googling for "utorrent tweaks"

That plan would be here for some time i guess. But i would suggest you to wait till the start of this new year, as bsnl tend to introduce more new plans or make changes to the existing plans.

Yes, sure you can go with their 250 plan which would give you 2 mbps connection but remember this limited plan and you would end up with huge bills if you download like crazy.
