Thread: Is this possible? Please help me out!

Hi, I have applied for BSNL broadband in July 2007. Got the modem and link in last week of September 2007. But still now I dont get the userid and password from the BSNL office. I have contacted all possible places for this but not resolved yet.......................whenever I call the broadband call-center 1800-424-1600 they said me that my id and password still under process. Its about 3 months..........Is there any default id and password to work with? Please help me.......I am not posting this to hack bsnl......and I know that current system is totally hack-safe and impossible to hack bsnl broaband.........

hope all of you have understood what I was trying to say......I just want to know that is there any default id or password for bsnl broadband. Previously if a customer apply for broadband his id would be like the following way:-

id: -customer's firstname + his telephone code (last 4 digit)

(i.e. if customer's name is abc and the phone no is 2555-1111 then the id should be abc1111 )

password:- xyz123

is it still available........although i tried with xyz123 but it didnt worked!!!!

Hi I am frm Hyderabad..I had to wait for 3 weeks before getting the usrname/passwrd..try calling up 12678 . This is the number for on-duty helpline staff..not sure whether it will work at your place but worth a try .

I could not really understand what you are talking, whether you are talking about the user id and password for your email id that they provide or for net usage user id and password or is it for accessing your broadband connection. If it is for broadband connection, i don't think they will offer you in the very near future as i guess they don't have that option anymore, it is just connect your modem and it is always on (that's what i got as a reply when i got it) and there is no seperate user id or password or link to click to activate.

strange!!they usually dont install the modem till they get the pass!!
anyway i dnt trust u totally abt the antihacking thing!! how would u know its hackproof unless u tried?

anyway i think the default username is firstnamesecondname
and pass is first 3 alphabets of second name + last three digits of phone no.

this might work if ur connection is from an old exchange!! if its a new exchange i dunno how to help u!!

and trust me u will get into trouble if u try to hack into ppls accounts

Well when a person came to install modem to your home then he must have given you userid and password and if then the he must have installed it in your modem and if it is so just directly connect. hope this will help.

There is no such default username and password to use.

But in old server the password would be like:

First 3 Letters of your City+First 3 Letters of your Username=123

Ex: bannar123

I think you'll have to wait some more time. If you are from B'lore, then try calling 1500

i think i got internet connection here in patna in 15 days with all connection and a modem .
i thik there is some pro so go to ur nearet exchange and get ur id password.

Hey dude!!

The problem is not only the area of residence.. but in metros like B'lore,Chennai and Kolkata where there is no MTNL, the NIB servers are very slow and there was a severe shortage of Modems.. So the time was more... Now it has been improved.

Dont know about metros, but in here they provide connections within a week.

I have recieved my BSNL Connection recently. The standard form of ID/Pass goes like this. (I call it "standard" since i and one of my friend received the ID / Pass in the same format)

Your Name : Amit Sinha (alias first name and last name of what appears on your telephone bill)

User ID >> s_amit@dataone.in (do not enter @dataone.in in the PPPOE login screen)
Password: password

I was lucky in this regards, since the guy who had come to do the installation provided me with some mobile number of person working on ID generation, but these are totally locality specific.

you think that you can get a username and password and useit .

there are two types of BB equipment
1. the old one called as P1 ( hauwei)
2. the new one called multiplay (Ut starcom)

now a days each username is being portbinded with the telephone no incase of multiplay and all unlmited connectons are defulatly portbinded.

the only way is to contact these numbers

now a days there have been a lot of changes ,
now after you apply for a bb connection , the username and password is first generted at NIB and then it is sent to the outdoor office / Exchange where the concerned JTO provides the connection.

if you need the connectiion , then you should be good at two thngs
1 to persue things with patience til your work is done
2. to know hw to say please
