Thread: Peculiar Issue with BSNL Broadband

I use the normal dataone bsnl broadband which is of unlimited option. I have a peculiar issue, which was happening only recently and that is I am getting connection only when switch on the modem while booting and if you switch it on after the boot, it is not working most of the time and sometimes, the speed decreases to almost like dial-up. Anyone else has this issue and can they help me?

hmm strange.....might be some firmware glitch....which modem you have????might be some OS prob also...cant say definately....

Thats something to do with your operating system I suppose as this is an issue of communication between your computer and the modem and has got nothing or very little to do with bsnl broadband.

Which operating system are you using and is it updated with all the patches and stuff? Do you have the latest firmware for your modem?

try formatting and do a clean instal...might be some virus **** also....a clean install i think will 90% for sure will solve your probs....or try a antivirus scan...try NOD 32 , its the best around there....

@Admin, I have xp and don't know what is my firmware is.

@salaxzar, this is what I am planning to do this weekend and will see how it goes. I hope that it works and will get back here whether it worked or not.
