There is actually a software which can track your download and upload usage. The best in this category would be DU Meter, which is a paid software. But if you are looking for free alternative you can try Netmeter which is a freeware and can be downloaded from here NetMeter 1.1.3 (stable) released |

Rep Power: 0 |  Hi try the " du meter" (download usage meter) this is also same as the net meter and also the similar GUI... For me the du meter seems to be more friendly when compare to the net meter. |

Rep Power: 10 | I have used both and find du meter to be better then the net meter mainly because it uses less system resources and tends to be more accurate and feature rich as compared to netmeter.
