    how to revert back from always on mode (BSNL)
    i want to revert back from always on(auto dialing) mode,, coz it actually costing a lot to my bandwidth,, the sent bytes are increasing even if i am not using the internet,,
    my modem is Huawei MT841 with BSNL broadband

    for this you need to know your Dataone user ID and password .
    power on MT841 , Take a safety pin and push it in reset hole
    for about 10 sec . it will reset your MT841 to factory defaults .

    now you can make a dialer for broadband connection using the
    network setup wizard in the windows OS . so you will be able
    to easily toggle between on and off states through shortcut .

    this manual dialing method is suggested only if you do not need
    to connect to two computers or a pc and a laptop using MT841

    i hv a better option
    open ur router settings [192.168.1.1]
    And change "pppoe mode" to "bridge" mode
    And after that u can create a dialer with the network connection wizard.
