    Hi guys,
I've been browsing through to get a way to modify my settings to DailUp mode instead of PPPoE. Got somewhat of a picture about it (Thanks to this GREAT site).

But just before i go experimenting, I got a big list other than PPPoE seetings line (plz check screenshot)

Could you tell me what it means?

(Info: I have taken modem on rental basis and seems the warranty seal is broken even before they installed it at home)

    CLICK "edit" FIRST ENTRY 0_35
    NEW PAGE. UNCHECK ppp/pppOe
    SELECT "bRIDGED"
    SAVE REBOOT
    WAIT FOR TWO MINUTES.
Screen shots available ( less wifi) at this link.
The little I know about Dataone Broadband Services offered by BSNL
    2.
Use external Dialer in computer to connect to internet
    PPPoE DIALER INSTALLATION
You have to enter your UserID and PW.
    Start/Network/ show all connections
    A dialer Icon will appear.
    3.
Add to Book marks if found useful.

as a single user you dont need them and they can be removed except the first one and save the modified file.

Thanks essbebe and that was exactly what i summarised from the site. (Couldnt try it as got exams coming up.)

Again Thanks to sarma, but when you said single user, do you mean i wont be able to use Wifi (browsing & networking-transfering files) if I deleted them (when still in PPPoE Setting)?

    And just to confirm,
It will be impossible to connect to internet simultaneously (wifi & lan) when in Bridge mode.

But I also found two options in the PPPoE Settings last page - 'Manual Connect' and 'Dial on Demand' (screen shot attached). what could they be for?

Default Need help with Setting up BSNL WA3002G4

Could someone please walk me through?

    Heres what I have

    1. BSNL Broadband Home750 plus
    2. Modem/Router WA3002G4
    3. Connected to Laptop through Ethernet cable RJ45?
    4. Telephone line connected through splitter
    5. Modem turns on, yellow light steady, WLAN light steady, Green Internet light doesnt turn on blinks sometimes. Doesnt connect to internet
    6. Modem purchased in Maharastra, trying to connect the same in Mysore Karnataka. BSNL (Maharastra) had given me a userid and pw (forgotten!)

    My questions
    1. Do I need a new PW and Userid from BSNL (Mysore)?
    2. Can I disable PPPoE for now? How do I do it?
    3. Can I change userid and pw myself?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

    @diya.
    1.
Please see Post No 129 for modem settings.
Report broken links ( website Not available
    probably mydataone.in )

    2.My questions
    1. Do I need a new PW and Userid from BSNL (Mysore)?
YES. Your Telephone number is Changed/circle also changed.
If Interstate transfer of telephone, give the surrender certificate to retain the old BB UserID and PW.
IF your telephone bill was settled, then
fresh telephone Number / BB connection New UserId/PW in Mysore.

    2. Can I disable PPPoE for now? How do I do it?
If you are using a Dialer to enter UserID and PW, and don't get connected and get error message , contact CC for new ID and PW.
    Or
you have to enter NEW userID/PW in wan page of your router.
    3. Can I change userid and pw myself?
NO for USERID & YES for PW
    (a) userId probably will be
    example xyz06723456
    ( your telephone number )
(b)Password can be changed later at BSNL Portal ( Another 14digit portalID and PW required )

    Feedback.

    Cool WA3002G4 beetel

Mind you , this was done on a Desktop with an Ethernet connection to WA3002G4. I am yet to test this with a Wireless Laptop although I have enabled and encrypted WAN. I "think" this should be a multiuser setup.

Here is what I have done.

Go into modem setup from browser (192.168.1.1, admin/admin)

    Click Advanced Setup> WAN Setup
Click "Edit" on First Row showing 0/35 under VPI/VCI column.
    Uner ATM PVC Configuration
    VPI: [0-255]=35
    VCI: [1-65535]=35

Enable VLAN Tagging = do not select
Service Category: = UBR without PCR
    click next
Select "PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE)" and Encapsulation Mode = "LLC/SNAP-Bridging"
    Click Next

    Under PPP Username and Password
    PPP Username: = <Your Dataonne UserName>
    PPP Password: = <Your Dataone Password>
PPPoE Service Name: = Leave this Blank
    Authentication Method: = Auto
Do not select anything else on this page.

    Enable NAT = yes
    Enable Firewall =yes
    Enable IGMP Multicast = yes
    Enable WAN Service = yes
Service Name =pppoe_0_35_1 (or anything else)
    Click next

Now "WAN Setup - Summary" should look like this
    VPI / VCI: 0 / 35
    Connection Type: PPPoE
    Service Name: pppoe_0_35_1
    Service Category: UBR
    IP Address: Automatically Assigned
    Service State: Enabled
    NAT: Enabled
    Firewall: Enabled
    IGMP Multicast: Enabled
    Quality Of Service: Disabled

    Click "Save".
Click "Save and Reboot" on next page

    **Restart your PC and WA3002G4**

    Go to "Network Connections"

Select "Local Area Connection" and "1394 Connection" at the same time (hold down control key)
Right click and select "Bridge Connections".
Let windows Create Network Bridge. After few seconds it will shows status as "Connected".

    Voila!

Default How to configure UTSTARCOM WA3002G4 with Nintendo Wii

Friends i have BSNL Wireless Utstarcom WA 3002G4 and is working fine with my laptop. But i need the modem to configure with my Nintendo Wii Game console to use Internet. While searching, the Game console does detect the modem but is not able to configure itself and keeps asking for MAC address. I have a Mac address at the bottom of the modem but the game console is not accepting and keeps giving me error 52202.

Does anyone here have a Nintendo Wii Game using with BSNL Modem may please help me.

    Thanking in advance.
