Thread: siemens c2110 adsl modem login

Hi everyone

I recently got a replacement for my old utstarcom 300r2u modem which had suffered a hardware failure. Happily, this was immediately (!) replaced by bsnl with a siemens c2110 adsl modem. the modem seems to be working fine except that i am unable to log into the modem on 192.168.1.1. in order to make modifications to the configuration. typing "admin" for both username and password (as was the case with my utstarcom modem) dosent seem to work..
i have tried various other combinations such as sysadmin/sysadmin , password/password, blank/blank... and about a million other permutations and combinations including my dataone user and password .. to no avail.. any help with this would be greatly appreciated.. thanks guys...

Have you tried admin/password?

usually default for c2110 is "admin" & "admin".i think the modem you got has already been used by someone to change the password.if all else fails you can easily reset the modem.there should be some kind of hole on modem throgh which you can insert a pin & press the rest button.keep it press for 25-35 sec & modem will reset to default values.remember power must be on during reset so better connect modem to UPS before trying.
