    Default Is it true

Today my friend was giving me this piece of information. He is using the 500 plan. So everyday he used to switch off the modem and change the ip at morning 2.05 or 2.10 and then start downloading manually. But yesterday it seems he has downloaded a software which will automatically make him logged in at the preferred time set by him afresh changing the ip. So now the bsnl would note down this time and consider it as free download.

Else in the previous way, he has to switch off and then on it again. Else it would not be considered as free. He said that the software has changed his status from PPPOE to log in mode where now he has give a username and password everytime when he switches on.

Has anyone tried this or using this?

i am confused. Bsnl assigns dynamic ip evrytime u log in. So wats the big deal ?? do u mean to say that ur friend has found a way to disconnect at 2.05 and than reconnect (that would result in assignment of a new ip) automatically ???

Yes you are right. If has to continue to download without changing the ip address, then it will not be considered as a free download. So everyday, he has to get up at 2 and change the ip address and then start the download. So now he has found a way with the software which will automatically re login in when the time comes. So this is the job of the software and now he is relieved from that job.
