Default What is Bridged Interface activated PPPoE? Difference from normal PPPoE?

I saw in my modem bios that even on the PPPoE configuration there is an option called bridged interface activated or not (see SCREENSHOT below). I mean PPPoE and bridge mode are totally different so how does bridge work in PPPoE? Will there be any performance enhancement if I activate it? Thanks in advance...

This feature gives a user to use PPPOE and Bridge mode at the same time. For an example you set pppoe in your ADSL router and at the same time you use pppoe from your desktop. But it only works when your DSLAM at Exchange has this configuration set on it's system.

So could i get any benefit through this combined pppoe/bridge mode over when they are configured in separate modes?
