    Unhappy BSNLl 3G data card

    Dear members,
I m new to this forum.I face problem about the internet speed. The tower is may be 500m away.I use BSNL 3G data card(3.6Mbps) on my PC.I get speed of only varying from 0.0 to 5.0 kbps.It take a lot time to open FB or any site that too after 10 PM. What could be the problem? With Device? With hardware of my PC?My PC is old with celeron processor.Or Datacard is made exclusively for laptop? Pl advice.

You can use the data card on desktop as well as there is no restriction on what you use it with. Does your data card connect in 3G mode or edge or gprs? Do you use a dialer ?

    Thanks 4 reply.
I use Microsoft widows xp professional 2002,Intel Celeron processor,668Mhz,512 RAM,32GB hard disk.I do not use a dialer. The logo comes with 3G datacard. I purchased for Rs.2000/-for 8GB Usage for 180 days validity.I do not know whether any setting is required. The letters like EDGE,UPAHS etc come automatically on the page.I do not know what is this. The transport speed come in range of 0.00kbps to 15kbps,but above 2.00 kbps it goes rarely and lasts for few seconds. The Icon of towers varies from two to five.Email attachment, video pics etc take lot of time. Is this natural in India or it is with my system?Pl advice.
