    Unhappy new plan worse

I was using 250 Plan earlier and it worked all right for quite some time. In due course of time line started dropping while uploading files. As I have to upload large files say 30 to 40 mb to foreign websites, line dropping used to occur when file upload would reach at 10-11 mb point. the problem i continued to encounter for 3-4 months. When complained to local exchange, none could give satisfactory answers, instead i was asked to switch over to 900 Plan unlimited. I did so but the problem is still persisting. things have even gotten worse. it has become drastically slow.

suggestions : a) meet some higher officer at BSNL Exchange and request to
send linemen to check your line . and also ask to check your connection
at the server . b) Unlimited 900 has a speed limit of 256kbps . so it will be
preferable to use upto 2 mbps speed plan of home 500 (data limit : 2.5GB) .
All huge files should be uploaded/downloaded during free usage time (2 - 8 AM)

If you still face this kind of problem then i think the best way it to meet there head manager of your region and ask him to look into your problem. I am sure he would do something and dont relay in these local support people they dont want to do anything. They are there just for name.

If you are going to upload large amount of files then i think getting a unlimited plackages is the best deal and more over it has stable speeds.

i know..i am facing the same problem using that 900+ unlimited plan....its unlimited in data transfer and usage..no doubt in that, but we have to compromise on the speed!!!i have confirmed about this problem from other people in my locality too who are using this plan and they are also facing the same problem..so i don't think its worth upgrading to the 900+UL plan if someone is using 250 plan already as i had experienced speed fluctuations with 250 plan and sometimes the speed was like 50 kbps..its alright that it was at some occasions only..but it was a better deal than 900 + plan where even after 0% data compression i am getting a compromised speed of never >40kbps..

I think that BSNL is trying to push you people to change your plans. I am sure that if it is a mass problem then their must be some big problem or specific reason behind it.

I have noted this thing that upload speed is always less then the download speed. Recently i also had to upload some 10 GB of Data and it took me 3 times more then it takes to download the same amount of data.
