You are probabbly missing out on some minor detail in your post as I am unable to understand why this could be happening. The situation you have described is not possible under normal circumstances. You have checked the modem on another line and no problems there, you have checked another modem on your line and that works well. It is hard to understand what could be causing this.

How are you connecting the modem with your computer? If it is a USB cable then try taking the computer cable out and then see how it goes.

I would also recomend changing your DNS in the modem settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and see if it makes a difference. Some times a modem wont turn the internet light on until it gets a response from the DNS so this may be a possibility.

That is indeed very strange. I really cannot think of anything apart from checking how it behaves after changing DNS server in the modem.

As you said it is under warranty then get it replaced. It still does not make sense to me why it would behave differently on just your line.
