    Unhappy Plan changes rules.

I changed my plan on 10th of this month from 500combo(1.5gb) to 545 unlimited.I checked the sdc selfcare portal and the new plan's status was "active" in 2 days. Also the chargeable usage remained stagnant since the new plan was activated. Now i have used data accordingly(17gb) and it has come to my notice through various websites that i will be charged as per the previous plan and new plan will only be activated from the first of next month.Kindly inform as to how will i be billed.

I have always believed that any plan change is implimented from the first of next month after you apply for the change. I would stop downloading just to be on the safe side and give BSNL a call to find out what the reality is.

Earlier plan changes were done from the first of next month, but now it is done on the day they receive the application and acknowledge it !
    Billing would be done pro-rata.

You could call BSNL and ask them about your bill, and they will inform you of your past and current bill. You should also be able to see the bill from the online portal as well.

    Question

    b.png
Is this enough to confirm change of plan, because i did it in the middle of month?
The new plan i changed to is shown to be active in the sdc selfcare.
Also if chargable units is constant, does that mean my plan is changed to unlimited?
I had used 2381mb(chargable exclluding night ul) before changing my plan to an unlimited one,it has stayed the same even after 17gb data usage.
    plz help!!!

Just check in selfcare whether downloads/uploads are counted in billed/unbilled usage. (Since you are on an unlimited plan)

If they are not counted, you are safe, you can be sure the plan has changed.

I got a question about plan changes since I have never had to change plans in the last 4 years. So, if at anytime in the next month I change my plan from BBG CNT 500 to say BBG 675 Combo UL, will the change come into effect within a day or two of their acknowledgement or will it come to effect from the next to next month (September)? I know that the usage statistics might not update until the end of the month but can I use my broadband peacefully assured that I won't be charged according to my old plan the rest of the month?

I got my plan changed from CNT 500 to ULD 900 three days ago.
The plan change was effected the very same day (within a couple of hours or so) and the new plan was showing on the selfcare portal.

Now about the billing, the officials there said that I will be charged proportionately. Just for testing purpose, I consumed about 200mb of data; but the selfcare site did not list that in billed usage. After the plan change date; no download information is actually shown.

To be on the safer side; it is advisable to get the plan changed on the last week of a month.
