Hi,

Can I use the same document for configuring dlink DI524 ?
Also I am not able to download the updated doc. Could you please send me the same?
Also once I configure my modem to bridge mode, how do I bring it back to the normal mode?

Please let me know
Thanks

yea.. the steps are similar.. to bring it back to ppoe mode you need to edit vpi/vci 0/35 to ppoe mode from bridged mode

Hi,

I am also able to do this. But I was refering the other thread 'updates mutiple connection with single BB'.

I dont get the same screens hot when I login to 192.1681.1 . There is no run wizard setup. The main tabs which I get on the left side of page is DeviceInfo, Advanced Setup, Diagnostics and Management. There is no tab on top of page also. So how do I proceed. I am using the same UT300R2U BSNL modem

I am using Dlink DI524 wireless router. To login to router page, 192.168.1.1 doesnt work for me, instead 192.168.0.1 works.

Please help me.

Even though the modem may be the same, BSNL uses new firmware so that the web interface looks completely different.

Since I do not have that modem it is not possible for me to provide step by step instructions with pictures, etc. You must set it up by using the field values and figuring stuff by reading the existing guides. Here is a method to setup UT-300R2U manually:

Hi,
With the below link I am able to configure my modem either to PPPoE or Bridge mode.
Prashanth Speaks-Technology and Life: How to Setup bridged mode in UT300R2U

Now how do I configure Wireless router - Dlink DI524.

I have accessibility to wireless router through 192.168.0.1 and not 192.1681.1.1. BSNL modem can be accessed through 192.168.1.1.

can you just help me

Thanks
Asif

i would say.. setup bsnl modem in ppoe mode.. enable DHCP in bsnl modem.. say 192.168.1.3 - 192.168.1.10 .. then change ip address of wifi router to 192.168.1.100 .. and disable DHCP in wifi router.. then connect a cable from bsnl modem to LAN port of wifi router ( not WAN port).. this should do the trick...

Hi Prash,
My modem is default set to PPoE and DHCP enabled. DHCP is set to 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.254.

Is this way you are suggesting
1. connect modem to laptop, set for PPoE, change DHCP 192.168.1.3 - 192.168.1.10
2. Disconnect modem and connect wifi router to laptop from LAN port login with 192.168.0.1
3. From LAN tab change IP to 192.168.1.100.
4. Then connect BSNL modem to LAN port and Laptop is connected to which port.
Please explain
Thanks
Asif
