Rep Power: 0 | Dear just4kix, i just had a look at your document and i am amazed at the effort and detail that have gone into it. Without even using it let me say thank you. Let me explain my situation. I have a UT300R2U, A Netgear WGR614 and a couple of laptops. Now i didn't see your thread, i looked at some other threads that referred to huawei modems, and i fiddled around with a lot of settings on the modem and the router.....and messed everything up. Now the router is broadcasting and i can catch the signal with my laptop and login.....but i have no internet.....neither when connecting with RJ45 straight from modem......nor when it is modem > router > laptop......the "Internet" light on the modem is also off.....does this mean there is no internet signal coming in? or does this mean i've bollocksed it up somehow? please help!!! One more thing.....when i go to 192.168.1.1 for my modem i get a menu screen and no wizard.....what do i do to get the wizard? |

| Guardian Angel | Dear psychotropic, Thanks for the kind words. I think that it will be best if you start afresh. Please reset both the modems by pressing the RESET switch with bluntly pointed object (do not use sharp pointed objects such as needles). Keep the "RESET" switch pressed for at least 15 seconds. After reseting both modems try setup all over again.

| Guardian Angel | To those of you who said that that ther are unable to get to the 'Wizard' option. Please do the following: 1. Login to the router page http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.1.2 2. Click on the 'WAN' button. 3. Manually enter the following settings: For Bridging ATM Interface: PVC-0 VPI: 0 VCI: 35 Virtual Circuit: Enabled WAN Settings: Bridge Mode Connection Type: 1483 Bridged IP LLC For PPPoE ATM Interface: PVC-0 VPI: 0 VCI: 35 Virtual Circuit: Enabled WAN Settings: PPPoE/PPPoA Username: <your ISP username> Password: <your password> Connection Type: PPPoE LLC MRU: 1492 Authentication: PAP Obtain DNS Automatically: Enabled Default Route: Enabled NAT: Enabled IGMP: Disabled |

Rep Power: 0 | hi, i reset my modem...but the Internet light is still not on....does that mean the problem is from BSNL's side and not mine? |

If that is not the case, then first try to get the wired connection working. Forget the Netgear equipment for some time, configure the UT-300R2U and check that you are able to connect. Once UT-300R2U configuration and setup is sorted out, connect the Netgear router and then configure it. | |
