Hi All,

I tried to follow the instructions but my MTNL UT-300R2U just does not have the GIU shown in the step by step guide posted by Just4kix.

Anyway, heres how I configured my modem with the WRT54G router.

On the Modem - set the ip address to 192.168.1.2 with DHCP enabled.

On the router -
1) set the mode to "Automatic Configuration - DHCP"
2) Disabled DHCP
3) In Advanced Routing set the mode to Gateway.
4) Connected the modem LAN cable to one of the LAN ports on the router.
5) Configured a static ip address on my desktop and set default gateway to 192.168.1.2 (modem)

Switched both Modem and Router off and on.

Have been browsing fine since then. I spent the better part of sunday morning before I came up with this configuration. Everything else that I tried kept failing or else the step-by=step giudes posted on this site didnt work as my software version on the Modem is different.

replace router ip to 192.168.2.1 and restart the router.

that happens sometimes, either you got a wrong driver.. or just try rebooting and installing..I am presuming you are installing the USB driver.. why not use LAN.. dont you have a LAN card?? almost all pcs have..

I have a Linksys SPA 2102 VOIP telephone adapter from North America(NA). This VOIP works for Cable modem and I would like to connect to DSL modem to make NA calls over Internet. Any comments how I should connect through BSNL Internet.
