Exclamation Xincom XC-DPG502 and BSNL connection

Hi
I have a Xincom XC-DPG502 router that can hold two connections. On WAN1 I have Tata and WAN2 I have BSNL. My BSNL connection is unlimited and it is a PPOE connection (with login and password). I am not able to configure it with Xincom. Can you please help me out.
Thanks and have a great day
Sam

Ensure that the VPI/VCI values are correct (0/35) for BSNL.

You must setup the BSNL ADSL modem/router in bridge mode. Please refer to my guide here:

http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...er-wrt54g.html (Setup of ADSL Modem/Router UT-300R2U with Linksys Wireless Router WRT54G)

Your modem/router may be different but basic setups are similar. You can do it using your router manuals and some suggestions from my guide above. If you still have problems, please post.

Are you saying that Tata Indicom works but BSNL does not? Try connecting the LAN port of BSNL router to the one of the LAN ports of Xincom XC-DPG502 (not WAN port).

Exclamation Xincom XC-DPG502 and BSNL connection

Hi
The Xincom XC-DPG502 router works with the Tata Modem (in Wan 1). The Tata connection does not have a login and password so everything works fine. The BNSL connection in Wan 2 uses PPOE and hasa login and password. It does not connect. If I use BSNL on a single computer without the zincom router it works

How did u configure the pppoe BSNL connection in your router? Has it got any wizards for setting up the connection? Checkout BROADBAND MAIN MENU It features many modems used by BSNL, it doesnt feature your modem. Still all modems work alike and u just need to know the proper settings. Please go through the various steps outlined in there for the modems, and try to compare it with your router. U should be up and running within a short time !!

Exclamation Thanks for the website

I configured it as you had suggested. However the Ip addresses of all the computers start from 192.168.20.1 onwards and there seems to be a conflict. What do I need to do ?

^^ IP address is being leased from the router. So verify the DHCP config of the router.
