i have 2 Isp..One 256k untld from mtnl and another 64mbps untld from 7 star

Download Speed on mtnl=around 29-32KBPS
Download Speed on 7 star=8-9MBps
Upload speed on mtnl=around 25-27KBPS
Upload speed on 7 star=1-2MBps

i pay 1k for each....Location=delhi

Plan : H500

Download Speed : 180 ~ 230 kBps

Upload Speed : 32 kBps

Location : Trivandrum, Kerala

Sorry for being an ass here.. but what is this 7 star?

i dnt get y any1 would pay 1k for a 256k connection when they already have a 64mbit(wtf) ulmited connection!!!even ppl in the US get a max of 54mbits tht two when they combine two 24mbit connection thru load balanceing or watever it is called!!i know india is advancing but not tht advanced to get 64mbits of unlimited internet!!

either your faking abt this 7star connection(googled for it and couldnt find it[thats my first hint!!])i would like to see proof from speedtest.net
or your really stupid(no offence) to pay 1k extra for a 256k connection when u can get 1 more 64mbit connection & combine it to get 128 mbit connection!!

Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test and tried to down load a file.........
THE result was amazing

download speed 960kbps=120KB/S
upload speed 48kbps=6kB/s

Wow he is a lucky maaaaan..........

am paying only 500 +tax for my broadband and am downloading monthly 90 GB of data... No other ISP such as airtel , sify etc wil give this much speed for such low price.

Am satisfied ful and fullllllllllllllll with bsnl download speed. But not with their customer services.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in my city there is a power cut from 5-10AM so can only use 3hrs of free night time.still i manage to download around 2gb each day.

but who cares now since when i was in IIT a few months back completing my degree i purchased a megaupload premium account & made full use of the institute's 45mbps line.downloaded 800GB in 2 months.i can now manage with a modest 50-60gb per month which i could download in a single day back then.i mainly watch anime & i now have almost all the series i want to watch.

Now our question/problem is:--->

How can we gain the downloading speed in our home900 plane from 10-30 kbps to 100-256 kbps?

1. If you are on this plan then your speed is 256kbps=32kBps(8kbps=1kBps)
2. If you are getting 10-30kBps then its normal.In no way you can exceed 32 kBps.
3. Only thing you can do is use a download manager and use your full bandwidth i.e. 32kBps.
4. Use google web accelerator to get some improvement in browsing speed.

do you know this means your connection upload speed is ~1.2mbps which is not possible for home 500?i think you meant 137kbps but then it's too low for home 500.

well has to be 137 kbps only, cant b 137 KB/s

I haven't seen more than 50 till now on my home 500
