Smile Setting up BSNL UT300R2U With Wireless

Dear All,

Wish you merry Christmas and a great year ahead!!!!

Well, I am a brand new BSNL Customer, and i must admit I am impressed.

Few queries to start with:
I got my BSNL Connection working just a week back - Details >> Plan : Home 500 , Modem : UT300R2U, Connected with Ethernet

What i need is to connect my Desktop wirelessly to the Internet. Which is the Best Wireless router to Work with UT300R2U? I assume i would need a router/wireless Adapter set. Also let me know the the setup details and approx price as well.

Let me know if you would know any further clarifications

Thanks in Advance
Shree

For troublefree wireless setup, I would recommend Linksys Wireless Router, although they are more expensive. Netgear is the closest competitor. I have Linksys WRT54G and Airlink 101 AR430W wireless routers. Both work without issues.

Most wireless routers are about $50 retail in US. In India you should be able to get a wireless router starting at Rs. 1600.

Default Thanks for the Tip

Yep, Linksys seems to be costlier
I was zeroing around Netgear. Router+Adapter cost arount (1800 + 900), So thats cheap, second in the list is Bufalo.....how do you recommend these?

Never heard of Bufalo; so can't comment. Netgear is also reputed.

UT-300R2U is not a wireless modem/router. You will need a wireless router for this purpose.
