Default Why i am redirected bsn.mail.in page randomly

    Hi,
Without my browsing, i am suddenly redirected to the Bsnl.mail.in page, a commercial page. Does anybody has any idea why it is happening? Is this a sporadic case or bsnl program do it? I never had this experience and it was a recent intrusion
I also think that the mail client of BSNL is spreading this message and not bsnl. I do not for sure, if BSNL has started using their clients for this kind of annoyed experience.
One or two times, after this popup, i lost internet access and troubleshooting it comes with LAN on invalid ip,modem experiencing connection problems etc forcing me to reset and reconfigure.
Anybody any idea of how to stop remote access in a teracom router. The redirected page is this
    http://mail.bsnl.in/

yes I am too facing the same issue. I think BSNL has made changes in their server, so that initially it will redirect to mail.bsnl. I have registered a complain to their Top boss on cmdbsnl@bsnl.co.in. hope they will resolve it soon.

No, they will not. It is a redirection to bsnl.mail.in, That would also be some sites act as if they are actual bsnl sites.
The cure for you is to set your dns server in the adapter to google dns settings. Let them cure taking their own time. Go to the adapter settings, by right clicking and selecting network options in the system tray.It is next to sound on the left. right click the adapter and then go to the ipv4 settings, just use the following dns. type 8888 and 8844 in between dots. Then you will not get redirection. It takes the dns from your router. Now , the adapter settings override the router. There is nothing wrong

That is because you are using open dns. If you use, default router bnsl, then you will get the redirection. Bsnl says so.

Hello, I just want to say that i am a railwire customer from past 4 months and trust me it is the best internet provider with zero network issues. Its not like that creepy BSNL. Also they have very good plans for normal customers and for Railway employees they are giving 50% off in plans so i will say go for it. As Railwire is tied up with worlds biggest IT firm GOOGLE so just thing which type of service and quality they are providing. They also have an ANDROID app "RAILWIRE BROADBAND USAGE" that shows your DAILY BROADBAND USAGE which is really helpful to check our statics through that app.

So, At the end i will say RAILWIRE is best broadband service than any other. Strongly recommended.
I think that the above reply does not have any relevance to the subject of this thread.
if a network is accessed it is global , whatever be the service provider. And all network services have risks and will some port open for genuine purpose, which are sometimes used by commercial hackers.
Simply change the dns to either open dns or google will give solution to the redirection problem
