Default How to portforward on iball Baton ADSL+Router

    Hello,

JUst want to know how to port forward on iball Baton ADSL+Router iB-LR6111A. According to one youtube video i saw, you have to login to router page, go to access management and click UPnP and activate both options. I did that and saved the same. Is that all needed? Or do we have to make any changes on QoS? Kindly let me know.

    THanks in Advance!

QoS is Quality of Service, and that is different than port forwarding. If UPnP is activated, that should work, however that depends on the type of application that you are planning to run. If the app requires a specific port no to be opened, you need to port forward that no. Also, keep in mind if you are using a WiFi connection, you must assign a static ip address to the laptop and then do port forwarding in the router. Else it wont work!

I am using a wifi connection, now i know where i went wrong, i should assign a static IP to my laptop as I am using a wireless connection. Because whenever I try itw as showing an error for IP address. when I put the IP assigned by the dlink router on to the iball baton page, it says IP address assigned is a different one on bsnl page. I'll try assigning a static IP and see if it works.

Hi anyone, I have two routers, one bsnl which is attached to another dlink wireless router, so for port forwarding do i have to open the ports on both pages(i ball baton and dlink?)? Kindly clarify if u have worked on such scenario. Also if i have to SSH to my laptop , should i create a port forwarding rule on both router pages?
