Default BSNL BB plans limit changed

Looks like Various Plan limits change /increased and Minimum speed now 1mbps

e.g. I was on BBG Combo ULD 1495 with 30GB limit then after 512kbps
The same now gone upto 40GB and speed thenafter is 1mbps

Sounds good to me as my monthly average was around 40GB
After FUP, it was like I was on dial-up speed (too slow)

With speed upto 4Mbps, I cannot even watch youtube video in HD or even at 480p, its ok with 360p and below.
Also, most facebook video don't play smoothly

Next higher speed with BSNL Goa is Upto 8 Mbps till 80 GB, upto 1 Mbps beyond at Rs.2295 pm

With cable operators like Excitel and Spectranet, BSNL looks very costly. BSNL used to be the mosty economical option back in the days but not any more. Excitel offers a 5Mbps unlimited connection for Rs750.

If BSNL is the only option in your area then have a look at Reliance Jio which offers 3 months of unlimited data with their wifi equipment that costs Rs2500 so effectively you get unlimited data on 4G for three months which is a great deal in my view.

I only use BB on PC, not into 3G, 4G which I think only for smart phones? Reliance has completed laying 4G underground cable in our area..
