    Default solution for diagonostic problem

    Hello,
First thing is you have to check whether dsl light in the modem glows constantly or not, if dsl light is not constant ,check all the cables connected properly or not .then check whether your username and password is correct.
If u get error 691-username or password invalid then u have to login to bsnl protal id and change ur password and reconfigure ur modem with new password. It should work.
error 691 can be solved by us.
if u get error 619 then u have to contact local bsnl office.
solutions for diagnostic problems is given in other forums. check it out. u will get a answer.

Is the above question for me? if it is for me,

I am using ppoe mode(always online).I have no problems with my broadband. If we get problem then we have to check our connection with bridge mode(dialing mode)which requires username and password.
we can find the diagonostic solutions exactly if we use bridge mode.
    ok just leave it.
I want to know how to apply for a caller id service (bsnl)? is there any monthly rent for this service (if yes, how much) or its free? Is this service available to village area?
expecting ur answer soon.(sorry for diverting the topic).

caller id service is free(atleast in my area).... i think you might need to call bsnl up and let them know about it.. just connect a caller id and see.. if it works then cool, if it doesnt then tell them, they should set it up for free!!
