he said ha ha ha sir that option will come in BSNL only after we guys retire & guys like you come to work here....
For him "online" must be that u make payment at the counter and it gets reflected in the BSNL system "online" (immediately)
Unfortunately, newer generation is into Pvt. Sector and don't want to join the Public Sector. So its old guys like the one u met who run all the show.

Well doesnt BSNL support online payments? It is supported in certain circles. A discount of 1% is even given when we pay the bill through that medium..

In karnataka it does not provide online payment system.
1% discount is given only for ECS.

any one here using bsnl broadband and hacked some one server.
Nobody knows what to "Hack " in BSNL .
Use someone' BB connection ( stealing)
Hack WEBsites of BSNL ( to mislead users)
Avoid paying Usage by "hacking" usage portal etc.
    and
    posts are meandering.

You should also change the passwords of your BB account and Router 'admin' account.
MAC Address filtering is your best bet. It's not tough to break into WEP and WPA if you know what you'r doing

If you have good friend or any relative working in the BSNL office and have authorized to access the user account then you can ask him or her.
I dont want to disclose it here because of GOVT issue.

    with Fevicol ? !!!
    Ok. Joke apart
it is userId/mac address of modem.
Even if you change modem userID/password is used.
In airtel/MTNL UserID is/was the telephone number itself.

If your phone number is 21213344, it is clear your
phone should not be used by others , so that you don't
get a huge bill. ( earlier when STD was costly, the line
was "tapped" and unauthorised usage was reported)
Same thing for your BB connection also.

Can I log in at this forum with your user ID?
the password stops anyone posting here
    claiming to be someone else.
    Going further even the
password is encrypted in secure sites. ( banking paypal/ebay etc ).

WPA encryption is very, very difficult to crack (unless you have a supercomputer at your disposal!). WEP is a piece of cake, though!

No wonder i havent faced any problem with my connection since March 2005. And u know what? The BSNL Broadband CC of Trivandrum City is the NIB engineers itself.
True, a pity we don't deal with them but with those intelligent fellas......

You cannot use the hacked BSNL modem's id & passwd (due to port binding ,it worked earlier & i have used it), but you can hack the pc connected with it by changing the DNS settings within the Modem to redirect the webpage requests to malware sites (very simple way to install backdoors & bots ).
You can also hack MTNL/BSNL servers easily since they have no firewalls too.

It may be hidden in the "Tools" or an equivalent option. Or else it may be a very old model.
hey..i too used the same modem .....now changed it to WA3002G4 ADSL2+ from same company provided by bsnl oly.....but i still get the same less speed of 33kBps....is there anyway i can increase it...?..even if its changing the plan ....i can go for....or even changing the service provider....

In this regard you are help less no one can help you out, bsnl wont entertain your complaint, just enquir whether port binding has been done or not if done then no one can hack.

Change all the passwords of your modem for "admin" and "support".

Do you have a wifi modem ?

Make a complaint to the Senior Divisional Engineer (SDE). Tell him to check whether your usage details is bounded to your Mac ID. For every modem, there is separate Mac ID. If the user had tried to hack your line and used his modem, his mac ID will be recorded and it is easy to prove.

But if you are using an insecure wifi modem and somebody hacked, please enable encryption to your connection. Otherwise no one can help you.

1.What is the modem/router you are using ?
    2.Is it on wifi ?
    3.Do you use a security key ?

4.Or you in a flat complex where your Telephone can be tapped ?
    5.Do you use a scheduled downloader ?

    6. Check your usage at BSNL Portal
and post screenshot as jpg annexure.

    Para two;
When ever you are connected and then again reconnect
to Internet your Dynamic IP changes.
    Current IP Check
To access your modem this Ip must be known.
Assuming I can access your modem,
nothing much can be done !
    Worst case scenerio
change your password ( in WAN page PPP/PPPoE setting)
if you do not use a Dialer !
Not possible to access the Internet !
with your userID and password on a different Phone .
