Default why only few sites opening on bsnl broadband with ubuntu as os?

hi all, bsnl broadband configuration with ZTE ASDL Model is working well with bridging the modem and setting up dial up connection suing PPPoE on windows vista. but when i bridge the modem and establish the PPPoE connection on Ubuntu, thought internet connection gets establish, only few sites were opening with firefox browser. how can i solve this problem? any one recently installed bsnl broadband on ubuntu???

TRY changing MTU value to 1492 etc.

or

try opendns 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222

Which Ubuntu Version are you both using ......... actually i recently started using bridge mode ...............
I'm having Ubuntu 8.10 ........ but i'm not facing such kindof a problem ........
I configured the connection via "sudo pppoeconf" configure option .
for establishing the connection one may also use the Gnome PPP dialer which is a GUI interface .
