Rep Power: 0 | Hi everyone, I recently got a static IP for my business 3000 plan, and I plan use this to host a site, I have a MT841 modem. I have followed the instructions for port forwarding as given in the link portforward.com/englis...1index.htm Nat has been enabled in the modem, and I have made the nat entries for the modem to allow the proper tcp traffic to the private server behind the modem. When I scan for open ports on the static ip I get the following results. PORT STATE SERVICE 21/tcp closed ftp 22/tcp closed ssh 23/tcp open telnet 24/tcp closed priv-mail 25/tcp closed smtp 80/tcp open http 139/tcp closed netbios-ssn 8080/tcp closed http-proxy but when I look at the filters screen it shows that the traffic is allowed for the port onto the private server. But when I try to use the port with the static IP the router does not forward it to the private server. the following link has the screenshots of the router config router config Please help me I have been trying for sometime and have not been able to make this work. Your help will be much appreciated. Last edited by nataprob; 01-02-08 at 05:06 PM. Reason: links were not linked ! |
