Default On rent

It was not the max one. The max one was 2700.
The original cost of EVDO equipment is 6500/-. But if u take it on rent they will charge Rs.250/- as rent per month.

Although it serves the purpose but still sometimes it is very irritating.
Since the service is WLL based the signal is not consistent.

But as compared to other DATA card services it is far more better.

Also it gives u unlimited download/upload.

Thumbs up

GUYS i am from cochin . Here the BSNL guys gave me printed sheet with the break up of the cost . It is as follows
RENTAL 1. Activation charge - rs 500/- 2. Security deposit (refundable) RS 1000/- 3. Card rent rs 200/- monthly 4. Fixed charge ( monthly rent) rs 550/-5. Tax @ 12.36% rs 155/-.

So total cost for taking up the connection is rs 2405/-. And the recurring cost per month here in cochin is rs 200 + rs 550 = rs 750 and 12.36% taxes on this amount . So it works out to rs 750+ taxes of rs 92.7 = rs 842.7 for unlimited 2mbps connection !. What more can u ask for? . If u r purchasing the card COST OF CARD IS rs 6500/- + sales tax @ 4% rs 260/- + activation charge rs 500/- + fixed charge (monthly rent ) 550 rs+ tax 12.36% rs 130 = total cost of ownership inclusive of activation and one months rent is rs 7940/-. In case of u purchasing the card the recurring expense per month is rs 550 + tax 12.36% = rs 617.98 /- per month. . Waiting period is 2 days . BSNL IS ROCKING MAN.

Question Different rates

For me it cost Rs. 1750/- initially. I couldn't understand these BSNL guys.

Is there any standard rate of their services.

Different exchanges charge different rate.

Note: (Service Tax : 12.36% in U.P.)

Also when i applied for home 500 plan of DataOne they charged Rs. 2550 initially. The modem is on rent. Is it same there

Default Not Sure

i am from UP East. So i cann't confirm the availability of this service is UP West. I am from Sonbhadra District (Near to Varanasi).

I also wish to share one thing that this EVDO service was launched before the Broadband Service. Also it was first of its kind in the country.

May be i am lucky to use this service before the others.
