Default EVDO or Broadband

Hi to everyone. I am new to this site. Here i need some help regarding the speed of BSNL Broadband.

I am using BSNL EVDO Services in UP (E). I am getting very decent download speeds of upto 250 KBps. But since it is based on WLL the signal is not constant. Monthly rental is 500+taxes.

Is the BSNL service is better than this. If yes, then which plan is best (upto 2MBps). How much DL speed i get. What abt the UL speed.

Kindly help

on EVDO you are getting about 250kbps and on broadband you can get from
256kbps to 2 mbps [on BSNL home 500 plan] . UL speed on broadband can be
from 64kbps to 0.5 mbps on home 500 plan . if you switch to broadband , you
have to carefully select between 500 home & unlimited home (256kbps) plans .

BSNL EVDO Service is supposed to provide speeds up to 2.4 mbps in future when EVDO is setup and thats pretty soon by the looks of it

Default Miss interpreted

I am already using the EVDO Service in Up East Circle. I am download speeds of upto 250 kilo bytes per sec. The major problem is that it is WLL based hence the speed varies. Although Average speed is above 100.

My question is this switching to Broad Band is a clever decision or not.

Details:
EVDO Service
Net Speed 2.4 MBPS
Download 100-250 Kilo Bytes/sec
Upload 10-20 Kilo Bytes/sec
Plan Unlimted

Monthly rent: 700 + taxes (12.32%)

If i go for Broadband Service which plan should i take. or better to stick with the same.

If you are less then 3.5 kilometres from the bsnl telephone exchange then switching to adsl would be a good option for a reliable connection but if you live furthur away from the exchange then I suggest you stick to your EVDO service.

Explore some ways to enhance reception if the signal is weak in your area for instance a bigger aerial for better reception or even try different locations in your house as it does make a lot of difference on how deep you are inside a building.

In that case only opt for one of their unlimited plans..
The cheapest unlimited option has a speed of 256kbps and is priced very reasonably and if you can afford it there are a few business plans and one of them has a speed of 512kbps with unlimited transfer.

AT half a kilometer from the bsnl exchange you can expect extremely good speeds
