Thread: Problem in opening google

i have dataone connection with zte dsl modem.
My problem is that i can open any site except google sites.
I can't open google, gmail, orkut etc. I can't log on to gtalk.
I m sure it has nothing to do wid my pc as when i connect wid my 56 kbps modem, i can open those sites. I connect wid my dial up modem, log on to gmail, orkut etc, then i connect my dsl modem, and disconnect the dial up. Then i can open google sites.

Can u plzzzzzzzzzzzz suggest any solution!!!

do not worry . it will return in a few days. it is a problem faced by many
BSNL broadband users for the last few days. nothing wrong at your side
as it is clear that you can connect to google related sites on dialup net .

is there some problem with the BSNL dataone server in my town...(m a newbie)
because in other areas, this problem isn't dere.

Try changing your DNS to 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 and see if this works..

hey admin knw any other dns server tht works more reliably and faster than open dns?

Try these:
61.1.96.71 and 61.1.96.69

if this one is messed up try the below mentioned as I find these ones to be one of the fastest responding ones in India

202.144.50.4
202.144.66.6

Do let me know if you feel the difference and which one worked for you.

thanks man!!but both those dnses fail to resolve tv.torrents.ro! which is the private tracker i use!so im unable to download anything via torrents with the dnses!
anyway bsnl dns servers are working properly again!!

I m also facing same type of problem but diff.. i m trying open this site: http://www.directory.com and some other sites are also facing like this mail. yahoo .com is also loaded but when i trying to login to see my mail the page going to download for whole day... Even i have used dns which is provided in privious few posts still i m in troble please help me guys as you know the bsnl guys are looser...

I can open Gmail but every time I have to hit back arrow after logging in to check my mails. This is happening just recently. I even tried by changing the DNS but same problem. My mail page opens but only after I hit the back button to go to previous page. The login page opens very fine.

Kindly guide.
