    Exclamation Setting Up UT300R2U for Home500 Plan - How to?

    I just got Broadband (H500), but got so many problems.

    how much speed are you guys, on Home 500 plan, getting?

    =>i get max. of 70KBps on http links (like rapidshare), :x
    =>Limewire doesnt get connected (even when AV & firewall is off) :x
    =>cant login to portal to check usage:x
    =>unable to upload anything (like pics, small files)(not even a 1KB file), but uTorrent shows 40/50MB uploaded.:x [at sites like suload.com, rapidshare.com mediafire.com ...]
    =>uTorrent doesnt go beyond 40KBps:x

    what can be the problem.

    i tried tcpip.sys thing, but un-installed it as rapidshare speed went down to 20KBps & no other gains either.

    i reverted back to default dns from "Open DNS".

    default DNS (of my old UL900 @ b'lore)-
    61.96.1.69
    61.1.96.71

    what i've put
    IP addrs. 192.168.1.100
    Subnet Mask- 255.255.255.0
    Deafault gateway- 192.168.1.1 (in modem, its configed as "obtain automatically")

    -----

    the "obtain DNS server automatically" button is faded out (cant selcet, in TCP/IP properties).

    Can someone help me.

    or atleast tell me what values you've put & the way you've configed the modem. pics will be helpful.

    i'm at K.G.F (Kolar), near b'lore, all the BSNL ppl here are noobs when it comes to BB , so cant expect anything from them.

    your pics where device info is given your line rate downstream is 639Kbps & upstream is 856Kbps.i failed to understand how is that possible.for home500 plan max downstream rate is 2mbps i.e. 2048Kbps & upstream is 1/4th of that i.e. about 512Kbps.your upstream rate is more than downstream which is not possible for any bsnl plan.except for home900 unlimited upstream ratio is always 1/4th of downstream for all bsnl home plans.i am not sure about home900 though.you are getting max dl rate of 70KBps i.e 70*8=560Kbps from rapidshare which is normal considering your downstream rate.tell bsnl people about this & confirm it by looking at some other persons modem who got home500 or for that matter any plan(except home900) which gives speed upto 2mbps.
