Rep Power: 1 | I often start my downloads at 2:15, and run them till 7:55, and still, I get speeds of around maximum 230 kbps, though most of the time it is between 100 and 180 kbps. The most I have been able to download is 2 GBs. Then how come you all, who have the same 500 Rs. scheme, can download up to 5 GBs (like Arun said)? Is it even possible to download so much, if we calculate at 230 kbps (the maximum for up to 2 MBps scheme) for 5.5 hours? Is there something that I am missing out? I just started using the Opera browser today; its nice Thanx. |

Rep Power: 0 | sorry for the late reply(really late)... well, its not a perfect sync. with the server, but rather a crude method.. 1) Disconnect the internet (Turn off modem -OR- Logout of Bridge mode ). 2) Note the LOGOUT TIME Immediately. 3) Connect it back on after 15 mins. 4) Go to BSNL account Usage Website, see the Disconnection time in the list *** image removed by just4kix on author's request *** 5) Now You know the difference in time with the Bsnl server(Your Manual Disconnection time on your Computer Vs the Logout time registered in BSNL Server), just ADJUST YOUR COMPUTER TIME BY INCREASING/DECREASING with RESPECT TO THE LOGOUT TIME OF THE BSNL. Simple enough. My Time is 30 Secs Ahead of the BSNL server time.. I havent seen any problem from 3 weeks.though its advisable to start downloads @ 2:05AM,Disconnect @ 7:58 , coz sometimes BSNL time varies +/- 2 mins . ~~~ REMOVE WINDOWS TIME SYNCHRONIZATION ! or Any other Running Time scynchronization programs ~~~ *** image removed by just4kix on author's request *** Last edited by just4kix; 15-10-2008 at 02:12 AM. |

Rep Power: 0 | Let Em go dude.. lol .even i cant download Excess of 3.4 GB too... Practically Speaking, old connections have Exact 2047/511 Kbps Bandwidth, but newer connection s have 12000/800 Kbps, though they dont get that much, they slightly have little more connectivity.. so its possible to get 230~240KBps in torrents for them. Technically, 2Mbps / 8bits = 256 KBps, but practically you get only 1.95Mbps, coz of the E1 connection Configuration(few Kbps are reserved for connectivity) ... so we get a Max of 214KBps in torrents, but in the Background it will be runnin @ 235~240KBps. so i guess the newbies are lucky. |
