This is my speed
Thank you
2566kb/s=320.75KB/s which is more than 2mbps.don't rely on speedtest.net instead quote your max dl speed achieved during actually dl preferably using some dl manager like flashget.try dl something from microsoft site & see how much speed you got.use flashget with 30 simultaneous connection.i have seen people posting even greater speed than yours with bsnl using speedtest.also speedtest shows isp as NIB whose max download capacity is 2gbps.this may also be a factor as NIB is the main network of bsnl through which bsnl provide connection to every part of india.
hello friend
I am also using DU meter. Whenever I am downloading something,
Speed will reach above 2 mbps also.
I am not fooling to others.
Thanking you for reply
The maximum speed i got today testing using the link you provided was Download 450 kb/s and upload 341 kb/s. Is this test really true. I was surprised to see such speed, as i rarely reach, although they say 2 mbps.
baba2020!do you really got speed greater than 250KBps while downloading?in my opinion i think it may be possible to reach even 280KBps but only if you live too close to your local exchange & there are not many users besides you in your locality downloading.but speeds greater than 300KBps is really hard to imagine for a 2mbps connection for which max. downloading speed should be 240-250KBps.
to xwhyz--don't rely on speed testing site.as i mentioned before try to download a big file from a fast site like microsoft(the richest one).use dl manager like flashger & use 30 simultaneous connections & then see how much speed you got.i have seen file downloading at a speed of 100KBps with simple download(internet explorer right click & save as) & then using dl manager with 50 simultaneous coonections & getting speed of 3000KBps.do note that speedtest gave me results very close to yours.the connection was a 45mbps one.
dun rely on speedtest ..
ur actual bandwidth can NEVER exceed 2Mbps i.e 256KBps
my maximum is 236 KBps using download accelerator plus
even DU meter shows approx. readings .. it is affected a lot by the buffer applications use. Go for the average readings instead.
Today BSNL People installed the Broadband at my permises. After a few settings it was up and running.
The speed i got was more than i though. Withough any accelerator or a torrent client i got above 320 KBps (Kilo Bytes/sec).
did you try in the free night time i.e. after 2:10am & before 7:55am?also you mentioned without any accelerator or torrent.what was the file size because only when downloading big files(>300mb) you will get an accurate idea of your speed as sometimes speed starts big but it reduces gradually to a constant level.
I recieve speeds of the range 180 ~ 230 kBps
With BSNL, anything is possible. This is not the first time.
I also have BSNL EVDO Connection with theoretical speeds of 2.4 Mbps Max.
therefore,
2.4 * 1024 = 2457.6 Kbps but i got 2793.
Thus, nothing can be said abt this service.
where are you getting BSNL EVDO service?as far as i know BSNL has not launched this service.they are only giving 144kbps service for now.also many people here are posting speeds shown by sites such as speedtest which are not accurate.actual download speed would be the average speed achieved while downloading big files(>300mb) using download manager like flashget,IDM etc or torrent clients like uTorrent.till now no one has posted any such screenshot.
9i get speed upto 20 kbps(max 30) am really pissed off from bsnl after waiting for such a long time i am getting these type of speeds thats not fair
for a home900 plan with 256kbps speed you should get speed around 30KBps & for a 2mbps connection you should get 220-240KBps.remember these are maximum possible speeds & you may get lower speeds from different sites & at different times.don't rely on speed testing sites such as speednet.try downloading something from microsoft site using a download manager & then see how much speed you get.
Dont Put up imaginary Results According to me 200-207 kilo bytes / sec is the highest you can possibly reach on a 2mbps Bsnl Connection Dont Fool New Customers Please Be Practical Be Sure Then Talk A Request-------------------------------------------------
That Was the Downloading Speed I was Talking abou not the Browsing Speed ............. Thank you......................
How about this speed,you wanted a speed from a download manager.I have achieved more than 500kBps but still this is average speed,idm.jpg
453.332kBps = 3.54165625 mbps
As much as only web browsing is concerned,you'll hardly use the full BW(bandwidth) of any ISP(unless the speed provided is as low as 256 kbps,because a webpage is nearly some kbs size,except only pages with too much of multimedia like photos,audio etc take some of your BW,and also the loading of a page depends on many factors like server BW,no of peers connected to server,your browser compatibility etc.So you can only know the speed through a good download manager like IDM or torrent downloads(depends upon seeders of any torrent,you may have to use multiple torrent downloads simultaneously to achieve the full BW).Hope you understand.Happy browsing.
average speed is what you get or calculate after you finished downloading.also for this test of yours you are downloading fedora from a very fast european ftp & these downloads are always faster compared to normal sites.have you achieved such speeds on other normal sites/torrents e.g.rapidshare,softpedia etc.also about your timing of download was it in between 2-8AM free night time or not.in the end which plan are you using---home plan or business plan.still this is average speed,
453.332kBps = 3.54165625 mbps
