Rep Power: 0 | Hi all, this is to bring to your notice, the sad incident that happend with my parents residing in Jamshedpur, we had a broadband connection since the past 2 years, and it was a Rs 250 package (250 Rs being maximum usage allowed). My parents went to my sisters place in USA for 3 months and there was obviously no usage whatsoever. On their return they had a nice surprise awaiting them. it was a bill of 35,000 for internet usage, and it did not stop there. Even after asking them to disconnect the line there was no response, so another bill of 35000 arrived next month. They are retired and they dont have the money nor means to pay for something they are not responsible for, the court is going to send them a summon if not paid. Please help!!! please Thanks |

Rep Power: 10 | I had a similar incident at Newdelhi with MTNL ... it was my phone bill which came up to Rs1 lakh + when there was no one at home for about a month and I just refused to pay up as we have not made those calls and your case is pretty similar. The case of excess bill is still on at teeshazari and the judge has now appointed an arbitrator and asked me to pay Rs20000 which I did and the case is still pending after more then 6 years.. Afet the case is decided in my favor I will sue MTNL for more then Rs 50Lakh+ for wasting so much of my time.. As I live in UK and have to come to India for this stupid hearing which never takes place for some reason as MTNL knows they don't have a leg to stand on so its been dragging on and on and on... The first thing to do would be write a written complaint of misuse of your connection telling bsnl that the premises in question was locked for so and so time.. and we have not used the internet for so long. Keep a copy of the complaint with you as it will serve as a proof for you in court. Second thing to wait for would be the summons which would come in any way. If you really haven't used the internet then I would say don't pay up.. just keep proof of the house being locked for the period in question and I am pretty sure that they will scrap the charges.

Rep Power: 2 | Ask these guys what is the uage during that period. If they don't provide the details then complain at higher level. May be CMD of that region. Not to worry for that since u got the proof of journey. I already fought with the RIM guys for the same problems. They gave me Rs. 50,000 as compensation. If u need some help post again. Note: u can also put a case of fraudery against them. |

Rep Power: 10 | Forgot to mention... In your complaint don't forget to ask them to conduct an inquiry tell them that you have not used the internet and it has not been used from your premises and rest is all their responsibility to prove that its has been used from your place... which they cannot if you have any neighbor to testify that the home was locked for the period in question and your case will be dismissed in two hearings or three max.. The point of asking to conduct and inquiry is that ... bsnl will not conduct an inquiry even when yo ask them to and this will help you in court as you asked them to investigate and they did int so they are at fault and are framing you up.. this is whats helped me in my case . |

Rep Power: 2 | this is exactly why they shouldnt provide bandwidth limited questions! they should either give 64kbps unlimited for 250rs,128kbps for rs500 or make a system like with cable broadband, when your limit is up, your net stops working! |
