    Post UT300R2u and Dl-624+

    I am using Home 500C+ ....
I was using internet via Bridging by manually dialing UID/PASS

    Since I got a new hand-held device (Wi-fi Enabled) , I purchased a DL-624+

The D-Link's got WAN Input , An Antennae and 4 LAN ports(used for networking)

A LAN Cable goes from my modem's LAN port to the WAN Input in the D-link.

Another cable is connected from my Desktop PC to Port 1 in D-link router .

I have set the connection to PPPoE and it works well....

Due to some reasons , I recently sold my I-mate but would like to have this router since it has got a internal firewall.

I would like to know if Bridging is again possible via the router.

I would like to switch over to bridging again as it helps me in controlling my bandwith.

Any sort of help would be appreciated.

Have not understood the problem properly. You say that you sold off your I-Mate. But you still have your BSNL modem and D-Link Wireless Modem (although your are using it via wired connection). So where is the problem? You can retain you setup and it will still work, i.e., you can setup your BSNL modem in bridge mode and D-Link modem in PPPoE mode.

I have not connected the modem to PC directly...it's via the D-Link Router..

    As I Explained , modem to D-link(WAN INPUT) .... D-link Output to PC .

Bridging via this arrangement is not working well...

    OK.

Step 1: Ensure that the bridge connection is setup correctly
    - Connect your BSNL modem/router to PC via USB or LAN (RJ45) cable
    - Setup the bridge connection
    - Create a dialer connection (PPPoE) in Windows/XP and ensure that you can connect to internet

Step 2: Setup the wireless router
    - Connect the Ethernet port of BSNL router/modem to WAN/Internet port of D-Link Wireless router. Connecting to one of the LAN ports (1~4) of the Wireless router also works.
    - Connect your PC/Desktop (LAN port) to D-Link Wireless router (LAN Port) via another RJ45 cable.
    - Power on BSNL router first; when the lights are steady (status LED should blink slowly while others should be steady), power on the D-Link router
    - Using the Web Setup Page of D-Link wireless router, set it up using PPPoE Connection
    - Make sure that D-Link IP Address is different. For example, if BSNL router's IP address is 192.168.1.1, then set the D-Link's IP address to 192.168.2.1
    - Check whether the connection is established.
