Thread: slow download speed

hi guys,

some days before i got bsnl broadband connection 900+ plan. i bought beetel 220bx modem. i didnt change any settings in modem since i bot it. i am getting very low download speeds. please help me........ do i need to change any settings in the modem or something like that??????? pls help

what speeds are you getting?for a 256kbps connection you should get speeds around 30KB/s.

well i got 2 KB/s in the morning and suddenly in the evening i get around 45 to 50 KB/s for 256 kbps in unlimited plan............?????

just in case check that you have been alloted the home900 plan at your local exchange.also if you know anyone else who is also getting same speed as yours with same plan in your city maybe it is some problem at bsnl's end.another reason may be that bsnl is planning to increase speed in home900 plan.

Ideally u should be getting 32 kBps for H900 UL plan
