    Default HTTP download problems

    Hi guys,

    I have a BSNL Home-500 plan ( 256 kbps/2 Mbps) connection..
    The problem i am facing is that i am not able to download from http links..
    e.g. i am unable to download Adobe Acrobat Reader from the adobe site

    Any solution??

    Just Adobe Reader or any other software also.
    What sort of error u r getting.

    Almost every site
    I dont get any error but the download doesnt starts
    i can download only pics of size 800 kb only

    which browser are you using.in XP SP2 internet explorer will automatically block the downloading of any file unless you click on the popup block toolbar.install firefox & then see if you experience same problem.

    i have been using Firefox only

    try using opendns.com!

    right click on any downloadable link & use"copy link location".then use any download manager & paste that link & see if you can download now.

    Try downloading this 1.13mb file here : http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...er-wrt54g.html (Setup of ADSL Modem/Router UT-300R2U with Linksys Wireless Router WRT54G)
    and let us know if you are able to download this attachment as I know for sure that there is no problem what so ever with the server of the file and we go from there.

    another thing : how long does it take you to load this website homepage www.indiabroadband.net ? and have you done a speed test... in firefox by default the download progress wont show up when you start a download.. you have to click on tools and then downloads to see the download progress.

    I was able to download that file..
    indiabroadband.net opens instantly..

    here is my speedtest result :
