Question govt ISP, not again !!!

BSNL dataone BB, I heard is very good, but 1nce your connection is down, then calling up their call centre & lady

knows only 1 thing, switch off/on your modem to get the sync/link light (i heard from some1). technical support is

very weak & takes ages to get your connection back.

I agree with you. Once my connection was down for 8 days - it did not bother me much as most of my work is done at office and my home connection is for personal use only. The problem was that there was a damage to the cables. My phone was also down. But BSNL gave me credit for the non-usage period.

However, on the whole I am very satisfied with BSNL. They are providing the cheapest service and speed, etc. are what was promised. Also with my UL 900 + plan, I get my Rs. 180/- pm fixed line phone rental waived off (also available with the Home 500 plan). So effectively, I pay Rs. 720 for 256 kbps unlimited.
