Thread: BSNL BB: I've Linksys Wireless Router , Do I need Modem too ?

Hi All,

I just got BSNL BB connection. I've not taken any Modem provided by BSNL.
I've Linksys Wireless Router (which I bought from USA) , I am trying to connect my phone line with the router but not getting any success.

Do I need Modem too ?

Which Linksys Wireless Router have you got? Most likely it is a wireless router without modem. You will need to buy a modem/router here.

Please let me know if i need to have a MODEM as well .....if yes which Modem Should I go for?

I have checked the manual for your wireless router (Linksys WRT54GC). This router does not have a built in modem. So you need to buy a modem from the market.

I got a modem( UT300RTU) from BSNL . However when I am connecting the same with my Linksys Router (WRT54GC) , the light above the Internet panel of the Linksys router is not getting ON means the Internet is not getting connected...

Any help ????
