Default Plan Changer Waiting Time (Min Hire Period), Be Cautius

I have been using bsnl broad band from 2 months. Its really good service from them. I am in the 500 Plan when I applied to change the plan to 900 plus. They said that the system is not accepting it because It needs to be completed 3 months which is the minimum hire period. so I want to tell all other users who need the internet connec. always / most, should take 900 plus plan at the beginning otherwise they need to wait for 3 months.

    Thanks

This is the most common mistake that most of the BSNL broadband users make, i.e., if they are switching plans at some point, they think that the plan will be changed immediately since the day they gave the request which is always not the case and starts downloading and uploading like anything thinking that they had been converted to the higher plan, but the fact remains that with BSNL it takes at least two months or three months of plan change to happen.

Plan change takes place at the start of the next billing cycle. Plan change can be requested as soon as one billing cycle is done.

BSNL is fooling people that it take 2/3 months. That is not correct. They are simply dragging their feet.

The only rule is that if someone takes any connection on some day, s/he has to stay in the plan for at least a month (billing cycle).

which one is more reliable?as for my area i too got the same reply as above about minimum hire period.maybe it depends on your local exchange officials as minimum hire period is also mentioned on bsnl's site & if it doesn't mean minimum period to use the plan then what does it mean.

I was wrong. My sincere apologies.

There is a minimum hire period. Check out the BSNL Plans and Tariff website. The minimum hire periods are as follows:

    1. Home 250: 3 months
    2. Home 500: 3 months (incl Home 500 C and Home 500 C+)
    3. All other home plans: 1 month
