Thread: Help! Gaming Online

I have BSNL 500 Home Plan and i live in bangalore.For the past 2 weeks,i have been trying to play age of empires 2 online with my friend.We tried to connect through hamachi.I am able to ping him,but he isn't able to ping me.We tried portforwarding but it doesn't work.Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S : I also played CS online with my friends and was able to connect to them even though there was a lot of lag.

first of all what network are you using.bsnl's or some local LAN.bsnl give dynamic IP so everytime the person whose computer has the server will have a new IP after he start his computer.
i don't know much about playing games but this is my guess(i put the server part but don't know much about it).check that when you ping him you got everytime same IP.now ask your friend that when he pings you did he got the same IP everytime.another reason maybe some firewall blocking a port either on your computer or your friend's computer.
