How are you connected to the modem/router - USB or Ethernet? If you are connected via USB, is the modem recognized by XP? If not, please reinstall drivers from the CD provided with the modem/router.

You can also connect via the ethernet (RJ45) cable. In this case you do not require any driver to be installed and you should be able to open the web setup page by typing http://192.168.1.1 on your browser address bar.

Default try this for router settings page

If you made any wrong entries with your router settings and the page 192.168.1.1 is not coming then:

Find the RST/Reset button with your modem, hold it for 10 seconds with any pin/pen while it was powered on. restart the p.c

Next go to 192.168.1.1 and provide your username and password given by bsnl in Advanced Setup --> Wan -- > PPPoE Protocol Settings, Save & Reboot.
try to post reply if it works.
